On May 18, History Camp will host a private tour of the Boston Public Library by Library guide and History Camp enthusiast Elisabeth Piquet. The Library, designed by the distinguished architects McKim, Mead and White in 1888, contains a multitude of artistic and architectural treasures, including sculptures by Daniel Chester French, sculptural seals by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, and murals by John Singer Sargent.
After the tour, join us for discussion and snacks/lunch (at your own expense) in the Library’s Newsfeed Café. Please indicate you'll join us for lunch on your registration.
The tour will last approximately 2 hours.
